Poichi wall plane butterfly

Description

This move is the basement of butterfly flower moves.

This is very good for starter of the poi practice, building body balance, and turns.
You can get exhaust after this practice in summer.

  • Relax your shoulder muscles. Stand in balanced position.
  • Always imagine the wall plane, and hands are on wall plane.
  • Don't think too much about how extend arms, but make it balanced. Too much extention will injure shoulder.
  • Think inner shoulder. Don't force them, set it comfortable and free position.
  • Alternate your right hands and left hands.

Turn

You can use this turn for poi itself.

From inward to outward.

  1. Start turn after open arm position.
  2. At 90 degrees position, your arms at the top, with pararell.
  3. At 180 degrees turn, your arms are open position as start position.
  4. Hands meet at the bottom, you are now spining inward butterfly.

From outward to inward.

  1. Start turn after open arm position.
  2. At 90 degrees position, your arms at the bottom, with pararell.
  3. At 180 degrees turn, your arms are open position as start position.
  4. Hands meet at the top, you are now spining outard butterfly.

2月に始めてレッスンを受けました、チルと申します。
まず、ウオーミングアップから入り、ポイの動きの解析など、今まで考えたことがなかった事(ポイの基礎の基礎)を教えて頂きました。技の事しか考えていなかった僕にとっては、衝撃的でした。
いつも時間が無くて、ウオーミングアップなどしたことが無かったのですが、肩などを痛めないためには、大切なことが分かりました。
